Voor
de 19de Houtense Kunstfietsdagen zal er een community art project van
start gaan in de laaste weken van juni. De Kunstfietsdagen hebben dit
jaar het thema <KRACHT>. De kracht van de natuur, windkracht, de kracht die ontstaat als mensen samen werken. Dit
komt onder andere tot uitdrukking in een gezamelijke kunstinspanning,
met andere maatschappelijke en culturele groepen en ondernemingen.
Deelnemende
Houtenaren zijn: de jongeren van Shine, de leerlingen van basisschool
het Mozaiek, de Krachtfabriek, alle kunstenaars van Kunst Om De Hoek en
de Houtense Helden.

21 juni a.s. begint de zomer en ’s-avonds opent burgemeester Wouter de
Jong de Droomcirkel! De droom van de initiatiefnemers en trekkers van
dit prachtige amfitheater is uitgekomen, want in februari van dit jaar
had niemand nog durven dromen dat het amfitheater bij de start van de
zomer al geopend zou kunnen worden. Heel veel mensen hebben meegeholpen
en het is prachtig geworden, zie facebook en de foto website

'Solution Machine' is a website made as a tool for high school students.
Focusing on how to start, keep going and finishing an art project. The
solutions are based on the experience of 6 students in their first 2
years of art school.

De OPLOSSINGSMACHINE is een website gemaakt voor
middelbare scholieren. Het focust zich op een beeldend proces, hoe je kan
beginnen, bezig blijven en wanneer het af is. De website is een machine die
oplossingen voor deze beeldende kwesties genereert. Deze oplossingen zijn
gebaseerd op de ervaringen van de zes studenten na de eerste 2 jaar op de
kunstacademie. De oplossingen bestaan uit een kleine uitleg, vele
voorbeelden een een valkuil. In 2010 werd de basis en vormgeving van de website
ontwikkeld. In 2014 is de helft van de 6 oorspronkelijke studenten weer bezig
met de website. De inhoud en alle oplossingen worden herzien en bijgewerkt
zodat hij hopelijk start van schooljaar 2014-2015 gelanceerd kan worden.

The blog Mai Foods brings memories together with old and new family recipes and traditions. Growing up in Holland with a Vietnamese born Chinese dad and a Dutch mom
made my childhood filled with flavors and tastes from east to west. Mai Foods is a mix of researching produce and products, drawings, memories, adventures and most of all great food and recipes.

For years and years I've been cooking Asian inspired and traditional meals and dishes. With Mai Food blog I want to show that you can always eat healthy and fresh. Low in carbs and sugar, but high is taste and yummy delicious goodness.

Opgroeiend in Nederland met een Chinese vader uit Vietnam en een Nederlandse moeder maakte mij jeugd gevuld met de geuren en smaken van het Oosten en het Westen. Al jaren kook ik traditioneel Aziatisch en Aziatisch geinspireerde gerechten. Met Mai Food blog wil ik laten zien dat je altijd vers en gezond kan eten. Weinig calorieën en suikerarm, maar vol van smaak.
In Nederland is de Aziatische keuken nog steeds erg onzichtbaar. Er begint een ontwikkeling op kleine schaal. Met mijn blog hoop ik het Aziatische geinspireerde gezonde eten een kickstart te geven en mijn ideeen en gedachten hierover te delen.

NIGHTWALKERS was formed to investigate the potentiality of an area's
creative forces by initially raising awareness of the given social
context and subsequently collectively suggesting various formulations of
agency and bottom-up response. It is a platform of knowledge exchange, a
place of coming together and a mode of reading of, and 'confronting
with' the area's built environment.
NW is a series of voluntary collective night strolls in the city followed by a discussion about the subconscious relations between the participants and the land they walked on.
NW attempts to abolish entrenched notions of authorship and suggests night walking as an open tool for anyone to adopt and enhance

‘Vrouwenportretten uit de wijk’ gave a artistic and educational production for different generations women from the neighorhood Kanaleneiland, Utrecht. The main focus of the project was the meeting of vulnerable and non vulnerable woman. By making their own portrait out of their own old clothes and fabrics. Giving the portrait an extra meaning. Resulting in diverse portraits, reflecting different woman in the neighborhood.

‘Vrouwenportretten uit de wijk’ biedt een
artistieke en educatieve workshop voor alle generaties vrouwen uit de wijk. In
de steeds meer geïndividualiseerde en multiculturele samenleving spelen
culturele en maatschappelijke activiteiten een grotere rol als leeromgeving.
Sociale en culturele activiteiten kunnen leiden tot kennisverruiming,
ontplooiing van talenten en nieuwe uitdagingen in de eigen leefomgeving. Tussen de vrouwen uit de Kanaleneiland, een wijk
van Utrecht vindt een ontmoeting plaats.
De verschillende culturen zijn een zeer belangrijk aspect voor de erkenning van
de kracht van de wijk. Het laten zien van verschillende talenten en
mogelijkheden die er binnen de wijk, geeft een goede voorbeeldfunctie voor een
participerend toekomstperspectief. Er vindt ontmoeting plaats op het niveau van
socialisatie, culturele achtergronden, talenten en mogelijkheden. De vrouwen maken een krachtschilderij van textiel.
Dit textiel is zowel afkomstig van hun als via andere (tweedehands) kanalen. De
stof heeft net als de verschillende generaties vrouwen een verhaal bij zich,
met daarin hun eigen kracht. De vrouwen vertellen hun kracht door de verhalen
van de stof heen.
